Where to Buy It: Colonial Games

If you need some colonial games to fit your party theme, obviously a chain toy store isn’t going to have any. You can do fun old-timey games like the clothes pin drop. You may already have a jar and clothes pins, which are all that is required. Otherwise, your best bet is a historical site (or its website). My family’s collection of games came from Mount Vernon, the George Washington birthplace, and Old Salem. You can also find games at Monticello.

These are great suggestions for websites. Thank you for the suggestions. I like to visit ‘vintage stuff’ shops and look at the books. One book I have is an original edition from 1940 called, Let’s Play Indoors. It has some great suggestions for old-fashioned games, maybe not exactly Colonial but pre-battery operated. So I would suggest vintage bookstores as another resource! You are always full of ideas, Tonya.
